One Track, Three Worlds: Vybz Kartel, Shenseea and Davido Take Yung Miami’s Spend Dat Global (VIDEO)

Yung Miami

Yung Miami saved the boldest move on her debut solo album for the very last track. The closing song on Watch Dis, released Friday, October 23, 2026, is an international remix of her breakout hit Spend Dat, and it puts Vybz Kartel, Shenseea and Davido on one record with the Miami rapper.

The remix pulls Jamaican dancehall and Nigerian Afrobeats straight into a project rooted in Miami rap. It is the kind of link up that, not long ago, would have sounded like a fan’s wish list instead of a real tracklist.

A Hit That Was Already Moving

Spend Dat did not need saving. The single reached No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 4 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, becoming the defining record of Yung Miami’s solo run and her first solo Top 20 hit in the United States.

Yung Miami first released two official remixes on August 28, 2026. One paired her with Lil Baby and Kodak Black for the rap audience. The second, billed as the International Remix, brought in Davido, Shenseea and Vybz Kartel, and it is that version that closes Watch Dis.

Why The Kartel And Shenseea Pairing Hits Different

Kartel and Shenseea on the same track carries real history. Shenseea’s early rise included Loodi, her 2016 collaboration with Kartel, which helped introduce her to a wider dancehall audience before her own international breakthrough.

Kartel’s presence carries its own weight. Since walking free in 2024, after the UK Privy Council overturned his murder conviction, the Worl’ Boss has been one of the most in-demand voices in dancehall, and every major feature since his release has landed like an event.

Davido Brings Lagos Into The Room

Davido adds the third continent. The Nigerian superstar has spent years as one of Afrobeats’ biggest crossover names, and his verse connects the record to West Africa and its global diaspora audience.

DancehallMag, which reported the album’s closing track lineup, described the pairing as a shot at audiences in the Caribbean, West Africa and the global diaspora that a standard rap remix might never reach. That is the real story here. This is not three features for decoration. It is one song engineered to travel.

Fans React

Reaction across dancehall and hip hop circles has centered on the Kartel and Shenseea reunion on a US rap record, with fans treating the closing track as the album’s headline moment rather than a bonus. For Jamaican listeners, the takeaway is simple: two of the island’s biggest voices are sitting at the end of one of the year’s biggest American rap albums, and they do not sound like guests. They sound like the point.

What It Means For Dancehall

Watch Dis leans into Miami everywhere else, including a hometown link up with Rick Ross, Trina and Trick Daddy. Against that backdrop, closing the album with dancehall and Afrobeats reads like a statement about where the center of the music now sits.

Dancehall has crossed into American rap for decades, usually one feature at a time. A closing track built on Kartel, Shenseea and Davido says the exchange now runs both ways, and Jamaica is not waiting outside the door for an invitation.
