VM Group is taking its Yaad and Beyond Financial Link Up on the road again, this time to the Jamaican community across the Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia area. The diaspora engagement series lands in Silver Spring, Maryland on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
The Maryland stop
The session runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Silver Spring, with support from the Embassy of Jamaica in Washington, DC. It follows the Georgia edition of the series, part of VM Group’s push to meet Jamaicans abroad where they live and work. Registration is through CaribTix.
What is on the agenda
Three panel tracks anchor the day: real estate and homeownership, wealth building and investing, and entrepreneurship and business growth. The through line is generational wealth, giving diaspora families practical routes to own property, invest with confidence and build businesses that connect back home and abroad.
Who is leading it
VM Group leaders Courtney Campbell and Leighton Smith are among those fronting the series, which pairs financial education with direct access to the people running the programmes. For Jamaicans in the DMV weighing a first home, an investment or a business idea, it is a rare chance to get the island’s financial leadership in one room.
