BZR WKND Jamaica will not happen this weekend. The event has been postponed to December 20 after headliner Cardi B became unavailable to perform on the original October 18 date, DancehallMag reported on October 13, 2026.

What organisers told patrons

In a statement to patrons and supporters, organisers apologised to ticket holders who had already booked travel and accommodation, and said the withdrawal came due to circumstances beyond their control. They also expressed condolences to the rapper and her family following the death of a loved one, without giving further details and without explicitly linking the bereavement to the withdrawal. Organisers said a show will still happen, and that the extra time will be used to build a bigger production for Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. They did not confirm whether Cardi B will perform on the rescheduled date.

Tickets, refunds, and the next update

All previously purchased tickets will remain valid for December 20. Patrons who cannot attend, or who prefer a refund, can contact the events team by email with their full name, purchase confirmation, order or transaction reference, and the email address used for the purchase. The refund contact given by organisers is eventsteamjamaica@kanoopays.com. A press conference is expected later this week, where organisers are expected to answer questions and give further details, including who will headline in December.

Why this date mattered

The October show was billed as Cardi B and Friends, hosted by Spice, and would have been the rapper’s first ever performance in Jamaica. That first performance may still come, but patrons now have to wait for December, and for confirmation of the new lineup, before they can count on it.
